Gamolan KartomiMargaret J. KartomiHidris 2017 For male and/or female participants. A bamboo xylophone (gamolan), beaten with a pair of sticks. Rattan lacing strung through each of the eight bamboo keys holds them together and they sit freely suspended over a wooden trough. In performance, as this image shows, the gamolan is usually joined by a double-headed drum (gindang) and two gongs (tala). Copyright 1983.
