The mouth is a Möbius strip GALLIGANBRIONY VERONICA 2020 In my research, I position the Möbius strip—a loop of two continuously intertwined surfaces without orientation, inside or outside—as a model for my art practice. Through the work, I consider revolving and repeating forms both materially and conceptually; the Möbius strip, the mouth, and the horse’s mouth as thresholds between internal bodily experience and external social order. The work comprises an exhibition, performance and written exegesis.
