Late Cambrian—Early Ordovician Rifts of Tasmania: a structural and siliciclastic sediment synthesis MITCHELL JAY O'MARA 10.26180/5d525ddee2299 https://bridges.monash.edu/articles/thesis/Late_Cambrian_Early_Ordovician_Rifts_of_Tasmania_a_structural_and_siliciclastic_sediment_synthesis/9570317 This thesis aims to characterise the tectonic and depositional processes active in northern and western Tasmania during the late Cambrian–Early Ordovician. It presents new evidence for an extensional tectonic regime, the development of distinct sedimentary basins and simplifies the stratigraphy across the state. In doing so, it provides strong evidence that can be used to settle several points of geological contention. 2019-08-13 06:51:08 Tasmania Geology Sedimentology Basin Analysis Stratigraphy Cambrian Ordovician Sedimentology Stratigraphy (incl.
