This thesis examines the influence of atmospheric design features on young people's experiences and place identity in the context of an Australian megachurch. It develops an adapted model of place identity construction for identifying the correlation between spatial experiences in the church, and how these experiences assist the meaning-making that facilitates the place identification process.
