Who, by integrating the stereo-vision and digital image correlation into high-speed photography, studied the three-dimensional dynamic deformation of rock. He discovered the evolution of dynamic properties and fracture patterns of rock, which has not been identified before. His work provides new insights into the dynamic behaviour of rock under various loading and environmental conditions.
