We extensively analysed plaques in heart arteries using Cardiac CT and our main findings are i) novel methods used in the study allowed accurate measurement of plaque volume which potentially allows us to test response to treatment using CT by measuring plaque changes ii) By studying the composition and measuring the amount of high-risk components within the plaque, it is feasible to identify those patients who are at greatest risk of future heart attacks iii) Novel techniques allowed detection of blood flow limitation from the narrowing in the arteries and identified the ones that needed treatment without additional testing.
