Diversity within diversity: Sustaining family heritage languages

The diversity within diversity, of this thesis project, is a narrative inquiry approach for understanding migrant parents sustaining of their heritage language and culture with their children, to establish a bilingual family home. Focus questions insight the situational and contextual moments of lived experiences interconnecting to influence motivation, choices, and actions for family bilingual activity and every day practice. Cultural-historical psychology guides a range of data generation tools for understanding family ways of bilingual and bicultural being and becoming. Migrant narratives are developed to represent childhood into the parenthood journey and connection with school communities for family bilingualism.
