Ecology and conservation of Australian squamate reptiles
thesis
posted on 2019-11-26, 06:02 authored by ANNA FAY SENIORMy PhD research investigates the distribution and ecology of three Australian lizard species; the swamp skink (Lissolepis coventryi), the mountain skink and Guthega skink (Liopholis montana, and L. guthega), in order to inform their conservation management. Using field-based observations, and genomic and experimental approaches, I examined the mechanisms that determine and maintain these species’ distributions, and how they may be impacted as a result of key threatening processes; climate change and habitat loss.
