This research examined the viability of having universities across Malaysia at providing Asynchronous Online Counselling (AOC) as an alternative to Face-to-Face counselling services for university students. It also further explored the processes belonging to AOC via live-sessions with 11 voluntary participants. The findings suggested that effective AOC requires the counsellor to adopt more customised personal sharing in order to develop greater trust with the online participants.
