Leadership and Performance Outcomes of Australian Executives
journal contribution
posted on 2017-06-07, 03:57 authored by Sarros, James C., Tanewski, George, Santora, Joseph C.Our Paper examines the leadership characteristics of Australian business executives and the relationship of leadership job outcomes. Generic concepts of leadership and job outcomes have been established and measured through the instruments developed for this study, namely the Leadership Operations Scale (LOS), Leadership Attributes Scale (LAS), and the Job Outcomes Scale (JOS). A confirmatory factor analysis of the instruments reveals sound psychometric properties for the LOS and LAS, with appropriate reliabilities and stable factor structures. The JOS reveals similar findings. Further analysis of organizational leadership is warranted in light of the findings. Jammes Sarros is Associate Professor of Management and George Tanewski is a doctoral student in the Syme Department of Management, Monash University. Joseph Santora is Professor of Business Administration, Essex County College, Newark, New Jersey USA.
