Lipidated polymers for stabilization and antibacterial applications
thesis
posted on 2019-07-16, 00:57 authored by JAMES LYNDEN GRACEThis thesis investigates a series of novel lipidated low molecular weight polymer materials comprised of various lipid elements and macromolecular architecture for use as antimicrobials, or as stabilizers. It was found that careful selection of the length of the lipid tail and the polymer constituents played a strong role in the activity of the polymer against mammalian and microbial cells. The charge of the polymer was also found to affect the stabilization.
