New Microwave Assisted Synthesis of 6,N2-Di(het)aryl-1,3,5-triazine-2,4- diamines and Evaluation of Their Anticancer Potential

thesis

The thesis describes development of a novel method for the synthesis of 1,3,5-triazines and their evaluation as anticancer agents. An efficient one-pot protocol for the synthesis of such compounds includes a three-component condensation, Dimroth rearrangement and dehydrogenative aromatization under microwave irradiation. In the prepared series, compounds highly potent and selective towards triple negative breast cancer cells and without observable toxicity towards normal cells were identified. A quantitative structure activity relationship model was developed to reliably predict anticancer properties for the compounds of interest and to design new more potent agents.
