The thesis explored the different pathways of career success in the context of Malaysia. The different pathways reflect the investments individuals make towards their careers and the perceived outcomes of those specific investments. The research study aimed to elucidate the influence of structural and contextual elements in the social, economic and policy environment in Malaysian on the career success pathways. The research study also explored individual differences to further reveal levels of heterogeneity in the career success pathways.
