Seudati demonstration of Keutep Jaro (finger-snapping) technique : AV Intro IV.4

Seudati experts Syéh La Geunta (in white top) and Syéh Noerdin Daood give a short demonstration of the Acehnese body percussion (peh badan) technique called Keutep Jaro, or finger-snapping, which occurs during performances of seudati. Seudati is the main Acehnese dance that is performed in standing (as opposed to sitting) position. In this clip, the fingers are snapped both in unison and in interlocking rhythmic patterns, moving on (in this case) to lower chest beating.
