This thesis describes the development of practical and highly efficient methods for the preparation of new heterocyclic compounds. The most important practical advantages of the proposed approach include excellent selectivity and good scope of the multicomponent reactions, scalable and reproducible methodology, sustainable process, and diversity of drug-like products covering a valuable part of chemical space. The results of biological testing of the prepared compounds open perspectives for the design and development of new therapeutic agents for the treatment of neglected and tropical diseases, such as Chagas disease.
