Synthesis of NiO-Nanoparticles Templated on Chitosan Biopolymer for Photocatalytic Degradation of Methylene Blue Dye

thesis
posted on 2017-07-31, 04:59 authored by CHENG KEONG CHOO
In this study, nickel oxide nanoparticle is produced by two different synthesis techniques, namely extrusion-dripping/sol-gel and hydrothermal processing using chitosan biopolymer as templating material. The properties of synthesized nanoparticles were examined through various characterisation techniques. Furthermore, the catalytic performance of both materials were compared based on the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue dye.
