Telecommunications in Australia [1982]

This paper, completed in 1981, and originally titled 'Telecommunications Down Under' was published in IEEE Communications Magazine, March 1982. IEEE 1982. It was then published in Telecommunication Journal of Australia, Volume 32. No 2, 1982.This paper presents a broadly descriptive review of the Australian National Telecommunications Network in the 1980s and an examination of the interaction between technology and service in some of the new services which Telecom intends to offer.
