journal contribution
posted on 2017-06-07, 03:55 authored by Barry, BernardFor centuries training has been provided for bureaucrats, religious and military personnel, but it is only in this century that any attempts have been made to provide similar education and developmental activities for managers. This paper traces the development of management education and training in Australia. It examines some of the early developments which drew on British and American experiences in this field, and gives an overview of the current situation. It also summarises the results of the various committees of inquiry and task forces set up by the Commonwealth Government to review management education.
